Plagiarism Policy
JCAS enforces a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism to preserve the authenticity of the scientific record. All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous plagiarism screening using industry-standard software such as Turnitin or iThenticate before entering peer review.
Forms of plagiarism monitored include:
Verbatim Copying: Reproduction of another author’s words or figures without appropriate citation.
Self-Plagiarism: Republishing one’s own previously published content without adequate disclosure.
Text Recycling: Unattributed paraphrasing or patchwriting from existing literature.
Data Falsification or Fabrication: Misrepresentation or invention of experimental data or results.
Consequences of Plagiarism
Minor Overlaps: Authors are requested to revise the manuscript with appropriate citations and rephrasing.
Major Plagiarism: The manuscript is immediately rejected, and institutional notification may be issued in serious cases.
All authors are expected to affirm, at the time of submission, that their work is original, unpublished, and free from ethical misconduct. JCAS reserves the right to retract published articles found to violate its plagiarism policy post-publication.
