Reviewers are integral to upholding the scholarly excellence of the Journal of Chemistry and Allied Sciences (JCAS). Their expert assessments help ensure that each published article meets the journal’s standards of scientific integrity, originality, and relevance.

a. Reviewer Expectations
Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality throughout the review process
- Disclose any actual or perceived conflicts of interest
- Submit thorough evaluations within the assigned review window (typically 2–4 weeks)

b. Evaluation Criteria
Manuscripts are assessed based on the following:
- Originality and novelty of the research
- Technical and methodological rigor
- Relevance to JCAS’s scope and thematic priorities
- Clarity, coherence, and logical structure of the manuscript
- Appropriateness and completeness of citations and references
- Ethical compliance in research conduct and reporting

c. Recommendation Categories
Each manuscript review should conclude with one of the following recommendations:
- Accept
- Minor Revisions
- Major Revisions
- Reject
